Paramount Pictures has unveiled the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 trailer! Sonic, Knuckles and Tails face off against their wildest villain yet: Shadow the Hedgehog, played by Keeanu Reeves. Does The Sonic Movie 3 follow the trend of the previous two movies in being faithful to the games? What can we expect from the movie version of Shadow? How much of his story will be adapted from Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Adventure 2?

Everything about shadow is on point. His presentation, design, movements, backstory, Keanu's voice, and him doing the Akira slide is iconic. They couldn't have done him better.

To this day it's still hard to believe that Sonic fans (including myself) had to bully an entire studio to have them change Sonic's design only for it to be the most hyped movie to release with two sequels in a miniseries

Totally worth the wait. Keanu sounds perfect as Shadow, I love how different the tone is from the other movies to match the SA2 lore, and the reveal that Gerald's alive is insane.

Let's hope they do Shadow's character justice. The producers say it's heavily taking a lot from SA2, so he'll be an antagonist at first, but slowly become the dark hero he's mainly loved to be.
