He’s not the problem but he’s definitely part of the problem

His completion percentage last year was 30th out of all eligible quarterbacks, had the worst passer rating in the league. His receivers are actually good, if you did any type of research for this take you would know this. Yes his lines sucks (despite being the second least sacked qb in the league, granted this was probably scheming and the giants in general avoiding passing the ball but I digress) but he is also piss poor at getting rid of the ball (2nd worst in 2022 for average time to throw (per NGS)). The blame on Jones is 1000 percent warranted. He is also completely dogshit at making reads, I’m not a Giants fan, but from the games last year I watched there were a handful of times I saw Slayton, Toney, Shepard, and even John Ross wide open and he couldn’t make the read. As far as pure athleticism goes Jones is solid, but when it comes to the mental game of football he just isn’t at the same level as the rest of these professionals.
