This actually reminds me of something I mistook as a child. My mother said something along lines of, "Don't open the door to strangers, most of them are just trying to make you buy their garbage." My child brain took this in the most litteral way possible. I had assumed that if someone came to your door with there garbage/waste and you answered, there was some obscure law that made you had to buy it at their asking price. Suddenly i was peaking through the window every time someone approached our house making sure they weren't carrying a silver garage pale or waist bin with them. I really didn't want to lose my allowance on something like discarded fruit or used diapers. Even worse, I was worried I wouldn't have the money they needed and would then be forced into debt. Wish I could tell you how I knew what debt was at the same time I was believing this.

I feel like OP may have watched MLP growing up, cause Pegasi literally do that. They DO discuss it with the earthponies. They have their seasons scheduled. It's one of my favourite bits of worldbuilding to this day.

Ngl, a world where the weather is actually decided by committee would be amazing, assuming you don't have to live there. Like, imagine sitting in a board room, watching a verbal war rage between the local farmer's union, who want more rain for their crops, and the city tourism agency, who want sunny skies to tempt in crowds.

My aunt is a meteorologist and she and my dad have an inside joke where they talk like that IS the case, good thing I learned about how weather ACTUALLY works before I ever heard them have a conversation about weather.

In my country the weather people never say "good" or "bad" weather because it dépends to people, like a sunny day can be terrible for a farmer

Do not let Doofenshmirtz see this video. Last thing we need is for him to become the forecaster of the TriState Area with a weather-manipulatorinator so his predictions are always right. Probably would go haywire and ruin the areal art that PnF are making to celebrate someone’s birthday. When Candace finally gets their mom to see all Linda says is ‘Oh my the weather really turned sour. We should get everybody inside before it starts to pour.’
