As someone who owns this game, *DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A REGULAR GROUP OF PEOPLE TO PLAY IT WITH THAT YOU CAN COUNT ON BEING THERE FOR EVERY SESSION!* One aspect of the game is that it really requires the same people to be invested in twelve games (Up to twelve sessions, depending on how many games you play a session.) While it does have the automaton rules for playerless charters that works also if a player has to drop out of a session, every reviewer said that it is better to play another game and wait for a day when everyone can be there. It's specifically because of the bonuses that those glory points confer from session to session on the box that Quill18 showed.

By The Way, I found the game for $60 at a local game shop in December. I've heard that the game can run upwards to $90, and the refill pack runs $30. It's a beautiful game, but without dependable people showing up every time, it's going to be an expense that you might not get as much enjoyment out of.

I enjoyed your thoughts on this one, Quill! I am actually 5 plays into Charterstone with my wife and two friends. Another friend asked me if I would recommend it or not, so I figured I would share my thoughts with everyone.

For me, the best thing about the game is its charm. The art is super cute, the components are nice, and the theme evokes a fun, whimsical atmosphere. It is not cutthroat, and turns are smooth and straightforward. As for cons, my only real concern with the game is it appears to me to be extremely light in terms of strategy. If you are looking for a strategy euro of the weight of Agricola, this is not it. However, if a game group is fine with a light game, if no one is terribly concerned with winning or losing but would enjoy simply building something uniquely theirs, they would enjoy this game.

I played Pandemic Legacy Season 1 as a two-player game and loved it. Once we finished December, we immediately ordered Season 2. We're enjoying that a lot as well. If you like the Legacy style, definitely check it out!

If the idea of permanently affixing stickers to a rulebook offends you, spend some dough to check it out anyway. You might like it more than you think.

Ticket to Ride is a great board game as well. Plenty of different boards/maps to keep it fresh too

tbh I was sold as soon as you said it's a legacy game that still has playability after the initial campaign is done

The game sounds great, unfortunately it is a little bit to expensive for me right now. Please make more of these videos, I really enjoy them.

Quill a game you and Essentia might enjoy together is Fog of Love. Really unique role-playing story-telling type game. Since you both like the Sims I think you might want to check it out.

Pandemic (regular or Legacy or any variation) can be played by 1 to N people. It's cooperative, after all. Well, not that expansion where there's an adversary, but you get my drift :)

I love board games, but it's so hard for me to pull the trigger on Legacy games. I want to bring a game to the table more than 10-15 times to get my money's worth. This sounds interesting though.

I loved this video! The only thing that I would do differently, is I would get rid of that extremely annoying white fuzz on the side of your beanie. Other than that, the video was fantastic! :D

This is like trying to organize a raid with real people. Hellish time scheduling. Meh.
