Meet Dr. Amanda Canto, the owner of Cosmetic Dentists of Houston and award-winning cosmetic dentist. In this video, you can find out what makes her tick and why dentistry and family are so important in her life.

Dr. Amanda Canto has been practicing the art of cosmetic dentistry for over 24 years. In 1989 she opened Cosmetic Dentists of Houston, a spa-like full service dental office overlooking the Galleria area of uptown Houston. She has been transforming smiles, and changing people's lives, ever since.

Dr. Canto's decision to pursue cosmetic dentistry can be traced back to a single moment early dental training:
"I was taking part in a summer program her in Texas Medical Center where I had the privilege to witness the transformation of a young girls life through oral surgery. She had a very elongated jaw that was repositioned by talented surgeons who balanced out her beautiful face. I would never be the same after I saw her look at herself in the mirror for the first time! -- it was like seeing the sun coming up in her life!"

That was in 1986, and she has been practicing the art of cosmetic dentistry ever since.

Education and Advanced Training:
Dr. Amanda Canto, DDS has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. She has a doctorate in Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston.

During her yearlong Private Fellowship in Cosmetic Dentistry with Reality Publishing, Dr. Canto received extensive training in esthetics from two top cosmetic dentists in the country. She also served as Assistant Editor for the publication.

Dr. Canto regularly attends advanced continuing education programs through American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry meetings. She has also attended courses at prestigious learning institutions including the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) and The Dawson Academy. She is trained in full mouth reconstruction from PAC Live -- the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum U of P San Francisco.

She holds Laser Certifications, is founding member of the World Clinical Laser Institute, and has taught and lectured nationally and internationally on Laser and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Canto is dedicated to continual learning - working not just to improve the clinical side of dentistry but also in patient care and customer service. She and her team are engaged in continuing education with Fortune Practice Management.

Dr. Canto is proud to have been recently invited to be part of Fortune Management's Platinum Circle Group. This group is a select Fortune Management think tank, "committed to progressive, socially responsible ideals for the betterment of evolving professionals, as well as humanity".
