You also get some really nice bread and toast it in there. If you do a baste with butter and garlic you can use that garlic on the bread.

Or, if you don't want to cook anything else, add some very hot water to release the fond, pour it into a small jar keep in fridge for adding to soup or other food for extra flavor.😊

Small tip, always cover the steak with a light layer of oil before you season it, it makes the crust stick better and won't stick to the bottom of the pan, also the oil gives a better consistent crust and when you butter baste it doesn't fall right off! Big tip I changed my mind

i put in onions, mushrooms, butter, then add water wine, salt, then a clove of garlic and boil it down. until you can sear the mix. best grilled onions n mushrooms. then add a lil bit more water and scrape the au jus off the pan and simmer it until its a dark thick gravy sauce. pour that on top.

you can also fill it with water, and then boil rice, couscous or quinoa with this water.

I always do this with spinach, I keep tons of fresh spinach available and whenever I cook steak or chicken or whatever else I'll toss a whole handful in the pan afterwards to soak up the flavor and serve it on the side. Perfection.
