Android is fantastic, However I am so sick of Android phones lagging like shit after every update. I am going to try the iPhone this time.

Why is 8MP the best apple can do... I want a good camera! No doubt I'll be guilted into buying this anyway.

The hardware design is a definite step back. what a surprise, apple is behind the curve in basically every regard.

This phone reminds me of my Nexus 4. The screen resolution and pixel density; the way the glass curves to meet the bezel; the overall size, camera resolution, inclusion of NFC and mobile payments... It's too bad the N4 came out two years ago.

Why can't people make comments without freaking out towards one side - whether that be Apple or Android phones. They are both two different experiences. I had the iPhone 5, currently have the Note 3. I love both sides and I don't have to trash one or the other.  Probably going to get the iPhone 6 just to switch up the experience for a while and then see what's out there possibly next year. Chill out folks.

The best part of the keynote was John's face right before Apple pay. It might as well been a slow mo of him saying "FINALLY" lol

I don't mind that the phone has 720p screen, 8mp camera, small battery, 1gb of ram, etc. I think it works just fine with those specs but if they're going to use 3 year old specs then at least lower the price. If the specs stay the same how come the price doesn't go down?

I saw you in the crowd on the Keynote quite a few times, Jon! They must have really liked your face.

Oh! Wow! It has NFC? And it has an 8 mega pixel camera and less not forget the image stabilization; this is truly revolutionary technology.

As a daily android and iOS user alike, Apple gets it on a lot of fronts. Why no 1080p display at a 4.7" form factor? Because the battery tradeoff isn't worth it when 720p is completely appropriate and logical at that form factor. Why 8MP instead of 13 or more? Because megapixels don't make a good picture, good optics and lenses do. Why only a 1800mah battery when android phones have 3000+ in some cases? Because you're comparing apples to oranges, no pun intended (iOS vs Android with regards to power efficiency and usage requirements).

Are there android phones with better specs? Of course there are. Could these specs have been better? Probably. But do the design decisions make sense and end in a user experience that transcends numbers? I think they do. Specs mean nothing at some point, it's about how you use the phone, how it helps you every day, and how it'll last you when it comes to software and experience year after year. The original Moto X, one of my favorite Android devices ever, was a perfect example of relatively modest specs adding up to a greater experience, and a greater phone, than other Android flagships with double the performance on paper. That's a testament to good design and a testament to what Apple tries to do.

If you take away all the specs and numbers and gigahertz and megapixels and pixels per inch and just use your phone, it won't matter how many cores your processor has when your camera doesn't open quick enough to take that once in a lifetime photo of your child. It's about balance. If an 8MP sensor can produce a better picture than a 13MP one at the same size at the cost of overall photo size, it's better for almost everyone who uses it. If a 720p screen provides an excellent experience at 4.7" while a 1080p panel would provide a marginally better one, yet sacrifice more battery life for marginal gains, it won't be missed (the LG G3 is a perfect example of playing the numbers game and not getting the returns; the G2 had a more color accurate and better quality panel while also using less power. Was the tradeoff worth it sheerly for an imperceptibly higher resolution? Perhaps for some, but I, and most people, wouldn't make that tradeoff).

All I'm saying is, judge a phone not by it's paper specs, but by how it allows you to do what you need to do in your everyday life. If an iPhone fits your lifestyle get it. If an HTC One M8 does, go for it instead. Don't let some numbers that might not even translate into tangible real-world experiences cloud that.

With that said all of that said, (and if anyone even bothered to read it hahaha) the new Moto X looks like it might be my new phone this time around. I'll give this 6 a try, but the new X looks wonderful as well!

kinda pathetic that the 5.5 is only 1080p when peoplelike samsung and LG have 2k displays.

Please please please do a comparison video between the note 4 and the iPhone 6, so torn between which one to buy! Thanks, loving the videos btw, keep up the good work :)

I really don't like the design. The lines on the back look like they don't belong there at all.
