Today is the last day of the three-day military exercises dubbed as joint sword launched by China around the Taiwan strait. The drills which Beijing has called a stern warning to the self-governing island are a response to Taiwan's president Tsai Ing-Wen meeting with the US House speaker Kevin McCarthy last week in California.
