Sight Fishing in TWO Feet of WATER on Zipped Lip Lake!!

We sight fished in 2 ft of water!!!

I was fishing like that once and a muskrat hopped up on the ice next to me made me jump about a foot lol

Ice report Little falls, Alexandria and Brainerd area ….Open water on big lakes with 3-5 inches of ice on back
bays….most small lakes seem to have a minimum of 4 inches of solid ice with some lakes closer to 6-8 inch of good ice

When I sight fish like that I always bring my small, one handed net. Especially for trout through the ice.

I could watch that all day. That is awesome, I haven't been ice fishing in so long I miss it alot. Many things have happened in my life in the past 20 yrs and lost most of my stuff in a ugly divorce. Now just getting things back to what I use to have slowly. I'm retired so it takes longer but never stop.
