What's faster on dirt: An Ariel Nomad or a pro on a Suzuki?

As a bike guy, yay bike is faster!
However the big difference is the average driver can get in that car and do a decent time on that road.
That RMZ450 would grab the average motorcyclist by the throat and punch him in the face until it needed a valve adjustment.

in races which include classes for motorcycles and car, desert trucks, rail cars and so on, it is always the motorcycles which finish first.
Races like the Baja 1000 or the Dakar Rally. Bikes are fast and they go anyplace any other machine can go.

I just made up a new sport... Take dirtbikes on WRC roads. Some gearing adjustement on the bikes, and see how fast they can go!

Glad to see Steve Sutcliffe with his own channel on Drive. Always enjoyed his reviews with Autocar and Auto Express and if this vid is anything to go by, should allow him a little more creative freedom. I think I speak for alot of guys and girls when I say 'Keep up the great work!'

Even if the car was faster (say, equally skilled pilots on each vehicle), the other important thing to take in to account is what the bike can do. The Nomad will handle rally like a bat out of hell, but it's not going to complete an enduro race. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing on the Nomad, I think it's amazing. But it just wasn't fair to it to compare it to a dirtbike.

Honestly though I wouldn't complain if I had either. Which I don't.
