Golam was a good movie. It kept me engaged and the payoff was very good though they revealed the twist kinda early. But the point was to make a second film. The movie deserved more attention. But Thalavan had way too many characters and was overlong. The final rival wasn't very impactful

Golam: Hated the fact that there is a sequel(it felt unnecessary), didn't like how easily the protagonist found how murder took place, but the reason for murder and way it happened was breathtaking to watch.
Overall a good thriller

Best thing about golam is it's not about why or who did it, it's a How did it thriller. That part was interesting and i think only because of that factor movie worked in cinemas

Good video Nona bro... however I felt both movies were good in their sub genres ..like u said somwhat innovative..also ending was logical in both to have a sequel to have a fresh part2. I liked both the concepts of investigation where I felt these types of stories shud also be told...even another similar movie in Prime/Manorama Max ott - CID Ramachandran retd SI...unique way of solving cases and the emotions included of a retd SI...hw the life changes post retirement...very well depicted using suttle expressions and v.litl dialogues.

Didn't like Golam, the biggest stumbling block being the lead actor☹️... and the revelation could be seen from miles away, but still, it kept me hooked with the execution part

Golam wasn't so good imo. It is inspired by 'The Murder on Orient Express' and the secret was revealed too early. It became all about the modus operandi of the murder after a while.
Thalavan is a good watch and leaves it in suspense for a sequel.
