I love Brian and Glenn, but this ruling is absolute BS. It only favors Trump, and continues to perpetuate the notion that one person is indeed above the law. And that's just plain BS. Period.

As a 'lefty' I had that reaction. "He's gotten away with it again!" Then... I Googled and read Judge Merchan's words on this, and now I know what he's doing. He knows how 45 operates. He's heading him off at the pass by not allowing him to use the sentencing as a political propaganda tool. "Oh, look at me, I'm being so mistreated, wah-wah-wah." He knows how 45 would have looked at that sentencing. I agree, Judge Merchan is doing what he needs to do to divorce the sentencing from any political motivation.

My take:
He was a criminal before he was a candidate! As a result, he should be tried and justly punished irregardless of whether he his running for president, is elected, or loses and is nothing more than a regular citizen!

With regards to the Supreme Court, the 3 Justices and Judge Thomas should not be involved in any cases regarding Trump. They have already breached the constitution involving Trump. Granting preferential treatment and creating law, which is not their purpose.

I hope you guys are right. My young nephew came home from school today totally disillusioned. Between the outrage in Arlington, J6 and now this, he now thinks that the whole idea of being a law-abiding citizen is a joke. "All that matters is being rich and powerful enough." It gutted me. And yes, Mr. "Justice Matters" has broken my heart. I watched Trump stand over the graves of my brothers and sisters in uniform at Arlington with a stupid grin in his face and a arrogant, inappropriate thumbs up while someone in his retinue was flashing a white supremasist sign. Can we be blamed for thinking that this is the last straw? That Trump is buying himself out of his crimes like he has done his entire life? It all seems so pointless now. "Legal Breakdown" has a whole different meaning now.
