My poor mom got roped into Younique and lost SO much money. I tried to warn her. (And the makeup is hot trash) They literally TARGETED her because she had breast cancer and couldn’t work (she was a research coordinator and nurse). Someone told her that fiber mascara was great for people going through chemo who lost their lashes. And that she should send out messages to others going through chemo 😳 I was PISSED! It was VERY predatory and taking advantage of these women in an awful situation! They would flat out lie! And inflate the income potential. I believe they eventually got sued and wound up having to pay out to certain people.
MLMs are a scam, period! Glad you are talking about it!

The fact that ABH initially decided to collaborate with MLM is shady on ABH part, and as a customer I feel like ABH business model has changed from producing classy, exciting and creative products to ‘fast-food makeup production’ style. I have not bought anything from ABH in a year. Thanks for informative video!

Proud of you for speaking out on this. I used to sell Mary Kay at a really vulnerable point in my life. I lost a lot of money. I’m glad there’s more awareness about the predatory nature of MLMs.

I feel like ABH is having an identity crisis! The stories of people being manipulated by MLMs and then going into debt is heartbreaking and I'm so glad you spoke about this. Also, I think your eye look is lovely!🤩

This ABH stunt with R&F is appalling to me. Especially bc they are a women owned brand teaming up with a company that takes advantage of (mostly) women.
Will be cycling abh from my collection for sure. Really hurts when a cruelty free much loved brand gives me a reason to not support them.

Pretty sure ABH decided to back off on the Rodan & Fields collab because of the overwhelming negative reaction. Does no one learn to conduct consumer focus groups in marketing classes anymore? 🤔 The whole fiasco was easily avoided. And truly necessary, in a cancel culture where condemnation is immediate and forgiveness is rare. 🤦🏻‍♀️

I remember at a restaurant I entered a “contest”. A few days later I got a call saying I won the contest and was going to get a free facial for me and a bunch of my friends. When I got there I realized they were just trying to sell me Mary Kay products and trying to recruit me and my friends (who were 19, 20 at the time into selling the product. My friend signed up to sell product and they wanted her to buy $1000 worth of product to sell and she almost did it before she realized they were taking advantage of her. Definitely agree that they take advantage of certain people. We were broke college students and they promised us so much.

ABH has rubbed me the wrong way for awhile too. I also agree on the scams of MLM’s in the promise of financial freedom but you have to go into debt to get there first. I know a couple people who sold LLR and when the hype died down, they were left with a huge inventory and basically sold them for at cost just to try and not lose anymore money. What’s crazy is the leggings cost $10.50 for the seller but then it’s sold for $25. Talk about a markup for something that isn’t worth it.

I'm right there with you on the MLMs. I won't support them on principle and it annoys me when people I know badger me on Facebook trying to sell me things. I'm really surprised that ABH was going to go that route. It just cheapens the brand so much.

I feel like i need a "colorful eyeshadow for dummies" video. Something that i find so mesmerizing about your channel is how effortlessly you pull off so many colorful eyeshadow looks. I can barely get myself to like neutral eyeshadow looks! I'm shocked that you only used about 3-4 colors to make your eye look in this video and it looks so good. I thought maybe eyeshadow just didn't flatter my fair complexion but it looks SO good on you. Anyone know why I am struggling? Maybe i just don't have the right eyeshadows?

To anyone who is rocking their MLM sales by joining because they love the products, it’s all good. Maybe you post on your FB every 6 mos saying you’re making an order and people can join if they want; that’s what we like!
But if you have ever slid into my FB messages asking me how I’m doing after not talking since high school, Y’ALL NEED TO STOP. I see through you. Someone told you to “expand your network” and you found me. You don’t care about me. You are looking to make money off me. I’m so over it. 🙄
