My name is Ciara, a registered nurse currently pursuing higher education in nursing. I am currently attending Walden University studying to be a mental health psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP). I got my associate degree from a brick and mortar school, then went to get my bachelor's in the science of nursing from Western Governors University (WGU), a 100% online-based university. At one point in time, I was taking MSN informatics over at WGU, however, I had a change of heart and found a place at Walden University to be a psych NP. I am currently in a very similar situation at my clinical site….I’m going on my 3rd week and as of right now i don’t see how I’m going to be completely independent by the end of the practicum rotations but i can’t wait to be there

Hi I am current student from Walden. I just finished 6635 course. I am not able to get an approve 2 times finding therapist. The first preceptor was denied because she told the school she only did teleheath, this seconc one they cannot find the actual site. I do have opportunity to appeal, but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
