Paul McCartney & Wings - Girl's School (Remastered 1993)

"Girls' School" is a Wings song that was released alongside the UK smash hit "Mull of Kintyre". However, this A-Side has been overshadowed by "Mull" over the years and hasn't appeared in that many compliations/re-releases. As a matter of fact, it's quite hard to find a high quality upload of the single on Youtube. This particular remaster comes from the "Paul McCartney Collection" from 1993
Hopefully by the time a "London Egg" archive collection is released, there'll be a better remaster of the song and be available on more streaming platforms.

This song should get more attention. One of Wings' greatest rockers up there with Junior's Farm, I think!

I totally forgot about this song! I loved it as a teenager, and it sounds fresh now because I haven't heard it in decades!

Remember playing this constantly on the Juke box at our local pub (sadly now demolished) on the other side of Mull of Kintyre.

I bought this and have to say it was played more than Mull of Kintyre.

I've always loved Paul's B sides and this is one of the best! Wish he'd do this live, it's such a banger!

This is really his last great quintessential solo Paul rocker, as a kid I ran out immediately and bought the vinyl single after I heard it on radio - 1 dollar!. So very classic Paul. In the vein of Jet, Junior's Farm, Helen Wheels, etc. Beautiful piece of work.

I bought this single back in 1977. I really thought this would’ve gotten more AirPlay. Such a great song. It was not on the LP London town when I purchased that

Brilliant McCartney! Haven't ever heard so feel great hearing a new song from him. Very abba which is a good thing, but maybe why not on album

"Girls' School, " was the side of the single that made the U.S. top 40, though it didn't get very high in January of 1978. If I remember the story correctly, the song's inspiration came from one of the schools his daughters were attending in the UK.

It's a great song, and in one very interesting way, the lyrics were very ahead of their time. At least two of the teachers sung about--Yuki and the school nurse--were international. According to the lyrics, Yuki was "an Oriental Princess, " while the nurse "was a Spanish doll." I don't know about the UK, but it would take a while before most U.S. white middle class kids would attend schools with teachers from different countries and backgrounds and with different skin colors teaching them.

Had not heard this for decades. Listened again and it sounds great today, one of McCartney's more obscure and brilliant rock tracks. Paul could rock as hard as anyone when the mood took him.

Great rocker that should have been included on the London Town album.

I can't believe this was the A side over B sided Mull. No wonder I don't remember this playing on the radio back then. Although it would be a great end title music for a film called "Girl School."

Hi hi hi, Helen Wheel, Jr's Farm and Girls School, 4 of Paul's most under rated tracks. Don't think Girls School is not on my UK lp London Town.

i heard this song in early 1978. I bought London Town in the early 90's which contained Girls School as a bonus track.
