1991 Mazda MX-5 Turbo - Megara Circuit - 1:08.4

Kostas' Turbo MX-5 is no more. It was only fitting that the last turbo lap -and breakdown- would be at the place that everything started some 10 years back, Megara Circuit in Athens(GR). Enjoy the last lap Kostas did in his home track and stay tuned for the upcoming video that will explain everything!

Car Specs:

-Begi Turbo kit with GT2554 running at ~0.6 bar approx. 190hp
-TEIN FLEX suspension
-205/60 13 Toyo R888R - 13x9 Compomotive wheels
-Wilwood Calipers Front/Stock Rear with Hawk DTC-60 all around.

Driver said:

" If I knew this would be the last lap of this car, in this configuration at least, I would have put a little bit more effort to it so it could at least go with a bang! "

ive got an email "one lap heroes just uploaded a Video" thoughts run trough my head "omg they uploaded something! It could be the ascari 24h movie! the possibility is there! it finally could be it!" and then i see its 1:40 min. long. I get a little sad. but then i see kostas in his mx5 doing A FULL LAP on track! and im almost as much exited as if the ascari movie would be out. (sorry kostas. that joke doesnt get old)

Hi OLH/Kostas,
Can you give me details about your front brake setup?
What discs size (Ø&th) and pads are you running in your 13"?
Do you need air channel to the bakes?
Did you alter the rear break limiter threshold? slope?

I would like to keep unsprung weight minimal but keep good endurance and breaking power on my dual duty NA mx5.

Sorry to hear that. Lap looked good though!
Also this whole story kinda puts a damper on my pamper of eventually turboing my '92... Maybe it will be fine for mainly street use - let me know your thoughts!
