So my greek salad isn't exactly traditional but you know it's a one-way ticket to flavor town as usual!! I love the creamier versions of feta and as always pickled red onions for me take this greek salad to the next level

2 English cucumber
1 lb grape tomatoes
3/4 cup Kalimata olives
1/2 red onion
1/2 lbs feta cheese
Mint and basil

1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 cup + 2 tbsp EVOO
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry oregano
1 clove of garlic paste
Pepper to taste

Pickled onion
1/4 cup white wine vin
1/3 cup red wine vin
1 cup water
2 tbsp sugar
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp chili flakes
15 peppercorn
5 sprigs thyme
1 red onion

Greeting from Greece! Love your channel!Here is a couple of notes for anyone who cares about traditional greek (Locals call it "Choriatiki") salad .
Greek salad has no dressing, you just sprinkle some dried oregano over it, along with some olive oil. No basil. You are also supposed to add sliced bell peppers. As for the onion, well picked onions aren't common here. We just put it in the salad raw.

As a greek man, you absolutely nailed it. Simple mix of veggies and feta with simple seasoning. Never rly do the basil in our family but basil is the literal best thing ever so I'm not against that at all. Might suggest it for the next one we do.
