Microsoft Excel Tutorial: How to delete Subtotals from Excel.

Welcome to another quick and helpful #shorts video from MrExcel! In this video, we will be discussing how to remove subtotals in Excel. Maybe your coworker added them and you're not sure how to get rid of them, or maybe you accidentally added them yourself. Either way, we've got you covered.

First, you can easily tell if subtotals were added by the subtotal command by looking for the three little buttons on the right-hand side of the spreadsheet. These buttons are numbered 1, 2, and 3. If you see these buttons, then subtotals have been added to your data.

To remove the subtotals, simply select one cell in the range that includes the subtotals. Then, go to the Data tab and click on the Subtotal button on the far right-hand side. This will bring up a menu with various options, including the option to remove all subtotals. Click on the Remove All button and then click OK. This is the quickest and most efficient way to remove subtotals from your data.

If you try to remove the rows one at a time, it will take too long and you may not even get rid of the Group and Outline buttons. So, make sure to follow these steps to remove all subtotals at once.
