I’m not a beginner and I’m not a pro but good art btw. It’s just the funny thing is that whenever I have an art block I would usually keep drawing chibis more than my actual anime/manga art style idk sometimes drawing chibis is just fun and helps get through art blocks.

Both are good, but it's actually always good to start with the head shape before putting the details. The lines to define where stuff should be should always be there. You can even hold traditional art up to a sunny window so you can "flip the canvas" to check and see if it looks weird.

When I used to be really into Sonic X as a kid (that was a long time ago 😳) I would pause my TV on shots I wanted to draw of characters and slowly got better. I think about how sad I am that I quit doing that, but it's okay! It's easier to pause now online because your video won't randomly go to the VHS screen, killing me instantly 🤣😭☠️✌️

I should really start drawing again. I don't remember why I stopped, but forgetting literally everything I learned sucks :(

Best beginner advice: Start out with chibi instead of immediately trying to force your hands to recreate the Mona Lisa
