A wallet lost 46 years ago has been returned to its owner after it was found during the renovation of a movie theater. In 1975, Colleen Distin went to the movies at the Majestic Theater in Ventura, California. When she realized her wallet had fallen out of a hole in her purse, she called the theater, but had no luck. In 2021, Tom Stevens found the wallet in a crawlspace, and through social media, found Colleen quickly. Everything was still inside, except a $200 check, but Tom had a surprise. #InsideEdition

That theater worker is very kind for tracking down the woman and even presenting her with a check for the money she lost that’s calculated to inflation. He could have just thought nothing of it and thrown the wallet out. I can’t imagine how sentimental it must have been for the woman getting back her wallet time capsule.

This is news I really like to see.. What a great moment for her! I understand it can be a really emotional experience.. It brings back memories, and you start to realize that time goes so fast.. I once found a stolen bag with my metal detector, it was buried in a forest. It still had a lot of stuff in it, only money was missing, but personal belongings were still in there.. I tracked down the owner, it was a very friendly old man.. Turns out it was his mother's bag who passed away by now. It got stolen over 20 years ago.. He got really emotional, all the items from his mother still in there.. And it was almost his birthday.. A present from his mother! :)

This is such a wonderful story. The pictures she thought she lost, they would have all come back. And how good that the theatre staff found her so quickly.
