To people bringing up the migrate issue in both of these countries:

Do you HONESTLY believe that the Government is so pisspoor to the point that they can only look at one issue at a time? Because that's exactly what you are thinking when you bring this up. May I remind you that there's MULTIPLE people behind a Government? If you want to have an issue about something... Look at the people who are deliberately ignoring the migrate issues, *they are the ones not doing their job properly*, and should be replaced as soon as possible.

Governments can work out multiple issues at once. *If they couldn't then there wouldn't be a Government because it wouldn't be able to do its damned job.* The Loot Box subject is also infinitely easier to work out than solving the migrate crisis. Example:

Are Loot Boxes gambling?
If Yes - Apply gambling laws to Loot Boxes and make it mandatory to label games with loot boxes "Adults Only, " so only Adults will be able to get these games. (In the US, gambling laws state that you must to be at least 21, for the exact same reason why the drinking age is 21.)
If No - Don't do jack shit, throw the issue aside and carry on as usual.

See how simple that Loot Box problem is compared to the migrate issue? Are you seriously expecting me to believe that Germany and Sweden are so inadept that they barely function as a third world country? They can talk about the loot boxes along with the other shit, that's their job. If they remain focused on one issue while ignoring others, guess what? *The government would collapse because some issues would naturally take longer to address than others.*

Please do yourself a favor and stop bringing up the migrate issue and save yourself from looking like a dumbass. As humans we're capable of thinking and talking about multiple subjects. If it is still an issue, then the one you should be hounding at the Governors too lazy to do their jobs properly.

If lootboxes "do not meet the legal definition for gambling, " then the legal definition for "gambling" needs to be revised. Games that utilize gambling mechanics must be rated AO. Rest assured that with billions of dollars at stake, big publishers will be lobbying hard to deter legislation. Pay close attention and make note of the lawmakers who oppose any proposed regulation. When you're talking about these kinds of financial figures, some politicians are easily bought.

German gaming doing something right for once

They really do need to regulate loot boxes I noticed it was gambling years ago in MMO and mobile games. Even forcing them to display the percentage chance on an item is progress just to expose how hopeless spending money on getting an item you want really is.

I remember the one time I said to myself "I got $20 to spend, I'll spend it on boxes to get this mount" spent the $20 felt like shit afterward not only did I not get the mount I didn't get anything worth shit. Its then I knew it was the same feeling as losing money in a slot machine in Vegas and Atlantic City.

And you know what the sad part is? Even though you get the same feeling of gambling money regardless if it's a video game or Vegas the loophole to loot boxes right now is the fact the game gives you something, unlike a casino where you have nothing after losing.

The word "licensing" might just be that middle ground loopholes for the big game companies to still make loot box system available in different form. Let's just see ...
