IMPORTANT TIP - the H11 bulbs come with an orange polyurethane washer at the base of the bulb. This creates a seal when you put the bulb into the socket. When you take the old bulb out this washer often sticks in the socket and doesn't come out with the bulb. That makes it impossible to get the new bulb to seat and twist-click into the socket. MAKE SURE THE OLD WASHER COMES OUT WITH THE OLD BULB OR REACH IN AND TAKE IT OUT BY HAND !!

My 2014 has a access panel in the wheel well. 1 screw, twist off, remove cap, replace bulb. Done.

Look at 0:19 seconds in the video. There’s two white bolts connecting to the frame. These can be removed and that small metal plate comes off and this opens up enough room for a hand to slide down between. These bolts can be loosened by hand as they are not holding anything together. Two minute job.

SMH. This is the second video that I came across explaining how to change the bulb in the Terrain. I appreciate your time and effort in putting out this information, but I am so not swapping over to LED's if this is what it takes to get to the bulbs!?!? Luckily it's only a company vehicle. Thanks for the post.

Thank you so much. The people who designed this are absolute morons. I've never had look up how to replace the lightbulb on any other car. I thought I was going to have to take the whole damn thing off

I just got some LED headlights... Do these work for both low beam and high beam in this vehicle?

Why would you not just remove the 2 screws holding the headlight assembly in? Smarter not harder buddy .

The dealer told my aunt it would be about 200 bucks to replace the bulb bc they have to take the bumper off. I called bull S*** and then looked it up and saw your video. I knew there was either a trap door or unscrew the fender well to reach. I have to unscrew my fender well in my 5th gen ram

I don't know how big your hands are, but I can't get one hand in, much less two, and the torx bit required for the two screws were two different sizes, LOL, GM is a joke. Update: I was able to pry the wheel well cover back enough to get one hand in and I was able to change the bulb, wearing a glove when installing the new bulb. I didn't think I would need to pop the top cover loose but I did need to loosen and fold it back just so I could get enough light to see.

Much easier just to access the light using the small circle above the front of the tire….
