It DOES matter what tape you use for the tape mod. You absolutely do not want to use any tape that would leave sticky residue or risk tearing off any components from the PCB. Use non-conductive painters tape that peels off easily

new keyboard newbie here: some answers would help

- would cherry profile keycaps work?
- what lubes should i use for the stabilizers and wires?
- for the pe foam thing we just poke the switch through?
- would buying the stabilizers mentioned make it more "thockier" or are the stock ones already good enough?

any response helps as im trying to customize my first keyboard :)

Wait your are just making holes in the foam with the switches. Some people say to first make holes with a screwdriver 🤔

I am trying to find keycaps for this but I have 2 keycaps which I can’t find on any custom keycaps my number 2 has a £ sign on it etc but most of them are number 2 and @ if that makes sense any help would be great.
