Compounding is always the same: wether you are going from 1-10, 10-100, 100-1000, 1000-1M, it’s the same and a machine would have no problem doing it. But as humans we need to pay for our cost of living and deduct that from our net worth and so compounding our netWorth gets undermined by the amount that we deduct for lifestyle, up until the cost of lifestyle becomes negligible relative to our net worth.

I could be investing ~20, 000 a year but I need to spend it on rent.

I needed 5 years from 2.000 to 100.000 $, and 1 year from 100.000 $ to 500.000 $. Hardest was from 2.000 to 30.000 $. Then it was way faster. I cant even belive looking back.

I have a question. Don't know if you talked about it already. I am from Slovenia, Europe.
I have a ''9-5'' job, my monthly net net income is about 2k. My net worth is just around the number you're talking about in this video. I am now thinking about taking a loan. I could get loan with about 5-6 % p.a. with approximately 200-300 monthly payment for 3-5 year. And whole loan would go into investment with DCA strategy over the next year. I would be mostly be buying ETF's.
I am thinking about this because I think the timing is good and I would kinda leverage my position.
Do you think this is good idea or not?

Very well articulated; I wish I had more time for trial and error, but I'll be 44 in October and I need ideas and advice on what investments to make to set myself up for retirement, especially with the looming inflation and recession; my goal is to have a portfolio of at least $500k at the age of 50.

By the time you make 100k, you are already wired to go further.
