In today's episode of the Dr. Osborne Zone, Dr. Peter Osborne delves into the amazing health benefits of taurine, an amino acid that plays a critical role in blood pressure regulation, triglyceride reduction, and supporting conditions like congestive heart failure and obesity. Unlike other amino acids, taurine doesn't form proteins but is essential for functions such as calcium regulation, immune support, and even athletic performance.

Dr. Osborne explains why taurine is conditionally essential, meaning your body can produce it, but you may need more during times of stress or illness. He also discusses how deficiencies in taurine can impact individuals with gluten sensitivity or celiac disease and the importance of animal-based protein in maintaining healthy taurine levels.

Watch the full episode to learn how taurine can improve your metabolic health, insulin sensitivity, and overall well-being!

Thank you for all this information! I've been using Taurine for my dog's seizures. He's been seizure free since March 2023. He gets a daily dose. For myself I've been taking it for eye and heart health.

My sister in law 10 years ago had problem with her thyroid… doctor urged her to remove thyroid for some reason… I begged her not to do it but she didn’t listen…. She was only 43 years old…. Then her daughter got engaged and she was planning the wedding and working full time, and it just wasn’t a good time to have an operation…. Because recovery would interfere with all that… half a year later her thyroid improved to the point that her doctor didn’t know what to say… ( lab mistake?) luckily she still has her thyroid, not thanks to her doctor…

Exceptional content! Thank you. I think the conversion is 3 g = 3, 000 mg and I will research the conversion or 500 mg tablets x 6 a day = 3 g

N=1. Tinnitus for decades. Thought it was mostly food additive chemicals.

I add it to my coffee and its tasteless. Cats go blind and have bad hearts without it. I add a little to their dry food and shake it up well. Its in all decent cat foods but, tiny amounts only. If you notice a greasy looking ring at edge of toilet bowl waterline, you may not be digesting fats correctly. Testing for vitamin C?
Levels after we take it go way down after 4 hours or so. So do we test on days we dont take it?
