The time Steph Curry was double teamed for an ENTIRE game

During Stephen Curry's junior season at Davidson, Loyola Maryland made national news by playing a triangle-and-two with both players chasing around Steph at all times. Footage of the game is nowhere to be found on the internet... Until now! The video breaks down that infamous game and how Loyola held Steph to zero points -- but lost by 30

This was probs the most relaxing game Curry had, lol. Just standing there and still winning - all because the opposing team was scared of his mere presence. 😂😂😂

Wife: How was the game?
Coach: Well, we didn't let Steph score a single point.
Wife: Amazing! What was the final score?
Coach: ...That's not important.

People say Curry is great because of his range. But I think he is truly great because of his selflessness. His ego is so secure that he never has to "prove" himself. Just look at the years when KD was in the Warriors.

i find it most impressive that steph was content to taking a back seat in this game to let his team win without caring about getting the ball. true leadership right there

It’s a reason why this game footage was so hard to find. This is the most embarrassing film ever for Loyola’s coach. His life

This is an amazing example of how a superstar can affect the game without ever touching the ball. Steph has incredible gravity.

box and one, triangle and two, no player ever had this type of attention on him, so insane

Imagine having a reputation for being good at shooting (IN COLLEGE mind you) that you demanded a permanent double team for an entire game. Only Steph man, he really was an amazing shooter, and such a selfless attitude to embrace any role he is given. This is why he'll have a place in this league for a long time.

2008 was my Freshman year at Loyola, I still talk about this game with my friends to this day. Jimmy Patsos is a legend who was best known for getting ejected and throwing his tie into the stands. After the game, I heard he was quoted in saying something like "I'm a basketball historian, are people going to remember we lost by 30, or held an all time great to 0 points?"

Steph evolved so much that triple and quad teaming him, even switching the lights off just to stop him didn't matter.
He's a scoring champion while being guarded like a criminal.

So that’s why he’s so good at dealing with double teams. It’s been a thing since college 😂

The coach didn’t care about winning this game. He just hated Curry 😂

Idk why this doesn’t have more views. We literally get a never before seen film of that everyone knows about.

Love how the Loyola coach stuck to the defensive plan thinking there's no way a scorer like Steph would be content with just standing in the corner and being the decoy for most of the game, but Steph is just that selfless, if they were going to let his teammates eat 4v3 the entire game then so be it.

It’s amazing. U could package that game tape and show it to every aspiring star at the high school level. Ask them, what’s more important? Your numbers or the win?

This is what I love about Steph. He wasn't phased, he wasn't angry or unhappy that he couldn't score. He was just happy he helped his team win, by any means necessary.

Just like in game 5.

This what makes Curry a special Leader. Bro didn’t panic or try to figure out a way to force his buckets, Just simply said I’ll stand in the corner and let other’s eat. he don’t care how he gets the W as long as he gets the W. a Real team player and Unselfish leader/Superstar.

Steph has to be one of the most paid attention to opposing players ever in the history of basketball. Awesome video and footage btw!
