We’ve been asked about setting up a scheduled data refresh in Power BI service more than once this week, so we thought we’d do a quick video.

This 2-minute video walks you through the super-simple process. Including how you can set up refresh failure notifications.

if this option is greyed out for SQL server dataset, does that mean gateway needs to be set and do you setup gateway on VM where db is running?

I am using a Rest API and this options is greyed out. The data I am fetching does not require gateway as the data source is in the cloud. How can I go about activating the scheduled refresh option?

I need to refresh my report every hour. I can add time 24 times after selecting daily refresh. But is there a way where I can set 'Refresh every hour', 'Refresh every 30 minutes' etc.. I could found only 2 options - Daily and Weekly in Refresh Frequency

I am connected to a MySQL database hosted on GoDaddy. Do I need to create a gateway or I can just directly use the cloud connections?
