That was a long time ago when i started learning electronics.

That scope has been very handy :-)
ive seen you use it to look at the output of sensors and other bits on cars, but i think the dust is getting to the vertical pots/switches.
Not supprising really.
Perhaps one day when you are bored you can give them a spray of something.
The trace twist control needs adjusting as well.

The waveforms looked fine except they did bobble up and down, is that the circuit or do you think the scope vertical side pots are causing the effect.
if its the project board, you may want to add a 100uf electrolitic capacitor across the power input pins.
The 555 goes upto 15 volts so i think the rest of the circuit is a bit touchy if supplied with more than 9v, just a guess :-D

fix your osciloscope, and turn on scope only when need for work, don t leave scope to work on empty
