You have to give great credit to Jools and the show's producers for giving these great singers the kind of production values their music deserves

One of those voices, decades long, time to put the spot light on her. Marvelous!

Breath-taking performance. The mark of a great voice and a great interpreter of song is when you close your eyes and listen - and the drama, the soul, of the song unfolds.
Lavette quietly conquered the night.

She got me loving Soul Music when I was a teen back in the 70’s...love her to bits, a wonderful terrific artist who has never lost any of that great voice!

Bettye has been a driving force for so many, and she has lived through her songs. Her recent autobiography is worth a read. Soul Survivor! I love her

Picked the original single in Camden more than 20 yrs ago! Always loved her voice, saw her live once, she was incredible. Real feeling emphasised in her voice. A true soul legend.

Bettye and Bobby are Soul legends. No hype needed for hall of fame talent. This is the real thing!

That guitar solo @1:46, and Jools jazz/blues offerings on those 88's @2:12....most exquisite!!
