Low A is a C concert, which is a VERY important note. I've played bari sax for more than 40 years and needed low A countless times.

It seems as if the Low A Bari has a warmer and perhaps even lyrical sound while the Low Bb Bari sounds more jazzy.

Bb for jazz and RnB, while low A for funk and classical

The low Bb just sounds like a really large alto sax down an octave. The low A just sounds like a bari

I can replicate the tone, but no one wants to hear a bari lip down 😂

Low A baby! I’ve been playing Bari for years and own two of them in my collection.
That low A is used in more things than you’d imagine. I just wish the sax was capable of hitting a low G. Sometimes playing a peddle tone on super low concert Bb would be nicer than the concert C!

Low A has a lot darker, richer sound where the Bb was more bright and free sound.

Fitting since a classical bari will want low A a LOT and they also want a darker sound. Can't speak for the Bb though - never got a chance to try jazz bari... I'd imagine a concert C is important to hit as a note though.
