The stand off between India & Canada is unlikely to be resolved any sooner. It will escalate for some more time at the diplomatic level then will be allowed to cool off with both parties stuck in their respective positions.

This stand off will be a lever in reserve with the US to irritate & bother India subtly such that the US can hope to extract advange over India in the bargain.

India hower is well placed to limit the undue advantage going to the West in any case.

Few nations shape the agenda and seek to define the norms. It will not go unchallenged.
