I find which ever pencil I use I will go back to my Prismas to add that pop.. so I think Prismas are my favorite at the moment. And I can by them one at a time is a super plus 😊😊

Thanks for saying out loud that Johanna’s smooth paper can be fussy!😅 Prismas are my favorite when they’re working well, and my nemesis when they’re not — you could say we’re frenemies. I use my F-C Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils every day, they suit me perfectly ❤

I don't have a favorite yet. When you are coloring do you just let the colors you want to use come to you, I love how they just flows

I use an electronic sharpener with my prismas idk if that helps with the breaking but I don't have much breaking, oh and Im practicing a softer hand .. lol. Easier said then done 😊

My Favorite Pencils are Black Widows, Staedtler Ergo Soft, Arteza Expert and Arrtx Colored Pencils. Thank You for Sharing this Video!💜👍🏻

My favorite in no order is prisma, poly, arrtx, black widow, arteza, and stadtlers.

Thank you for the series, Evelyn, I have enjoyed it very much.
I have just started colouring about 7 months ago, and I haven't tried many different brands.
My favourite pencils are all from Faber-Castell: the classic (for school), the watercolour (school) and the Polychromos (that I use sparingly).
For Johanna Basford's books (smooth paper) I have noticed (just like you) that only the Polychromos adhere easily. Another good choice for her books are the Staedtler Ergosoft pencils.
I haven't tried the Caran D'Ache Pablo or Caran D'Ache Luminance, the latter being the ones most expensive here in Europe. Maybe one day.

This was such a great series Evelyn! I love this list! I have Caran D'Ache Luminance, which I love - I don't know the difference between those and Pablos though and I agree that Polychromos are wonderful! I love Prismacolors even though they have their own set of issues. I don't have Staedler or Black Widows, but would like Black Widows and need to look more into Staedler. Great information and terrific job on the series!

Staedtler is so confusing to me. I have the 72 set that are triangular. No colors or numbers, peacock on front of box.
