In the first Despicable Me movie in seven years, Gru, the world’s favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent, returns for an exciting, bold new era of Minions mayhem in Illumination’s Despicable Me 4.

Poppy looks like Gru's kid with Lucy. They could make the plot about a daughter from the future going back to the past to meet her parent in younger version, instead adding new unrelated character that has no real personal stake.

Cliche? Please, this *is* Despicable Me franchise.

This is the 3rd time Gru gets pulled into villainy first El Macho, then Dru, now Poppy and since the end of the first movie he turned into a hero and the 2nd movie was about his life as a hero then the 3rd movie was about not going back to villainy now the 4th one was starting a new life
