Change Macbook Pro Display Glass Without a Suction Cup (HD)

In this video, I use a much simpler method than the one on iFixit to replace my 2009 Macbook Pro glossy display.

There is potentially no need to remove the entire display, nor use a suction cup as iFixit suggests.

It has gum in the corners, means no need to use the gum seperately to fix the screen?

I have an M1 2020 (A2337) the screen glass is cracked but the LCD works fine. WHERE do I find just the GLASS part for it????

Can this repair be done to the macbook pro 2015 model glass only ?

This won't work on the Retinas. The glass if fused to the LCD. You need to replace the entire display assembly.

Just did it with my macbook pro mid-2010, it worked perfectly. It just took very long because I did not have one crack but my whole screen was shattered so i couldn't pull it of right away. Just don't forget to clean very good because I have a few spots under my screen now haha. Good luck y'all

I'm thinking of taking aboard a late 2011 Macbook Pro 13" from a roommate. However her glass is cracked and in Australia prices for repairs are very expensive. I've built my own computer before so knew there had to be a simpler method than the iFixIt guide - this seems to be it!
