I Made a Bridge Building Game!! | Unity 3D

➤I'm no expert at bridge building. Or game development. Or video making. So I really shouldn't do all 3 of them at once. But you know what I did? I did all three of them at once. Take that, n00b.
Knight's Bridge is heavily inspired by Poly Bridge, if you don't know what that is, it's an indie game where you build bridges in a low poly environment in order to complete physics puzzles. Sounds fun, right?
I got the inspiration when I was watching Sips from the Yogscast play this game. So I loaded up Unity 3D and started doing that sweet sweet game dev. I love coding so it was like super fun for me. I've ran in to a few road blocks around the way but I think it's going really well. I'm really trying to keep my code neat, tidy, whatever, congrats for reading this far, and stuff so I don't look back at it when I need to revise something and just go like what the F poncho you absolute n00b.
PhysX has some funny quirks that have to be worked around. One of it's limitations is in the joint system. It doesn't differentiate between tensile and compressive force so it's hard to make materials react the way that they're supposed to. Also it sometimes glitches majorly which is why the bridges are self destructing. Or maybe it's because my code is bad but like, we don't talk about that.
I'm using a lot of assets from the Unity Asset Store but I designed the knights and the grassy ground myself. Eventually I'm going to migrate more to my own assets but I love to use other people's assets for prototyping. Other people have so much talent and it's great.
I have music in the game but it's not licensed so... You can't listen to it. I'll license it eventually. I like to use PremiumBeat for this sort of high quality music. If you have other suggestions for music sites I'd love to hear them!
I know the game looks buggy. But I'll iron them out. If you want some gameplay elements added, just let me know! I'll consider adding them :D
