I'm thinking of getting the Vectric Aspire at some point for the 3D modeling. For now, I do my 3D modeling on Mastercam. Vectric seems to be geared more to artistic creations. I'm looking to go more in that direction.

Hey Garrett! Completely off topic sorry, but that new long mill you have. Would the control box accommodate an enclosure, or would the wires be too short for that? Also showing off some feeds and speed demonstrations for wood would be great as well, as i cannot find anything on their web site or youtube. So it would be a good content video for your new series of videos on the long mill. Just a thought. I am really interested in it, and getting ready to pull the trigger on getting the 30"x30"! Bobs just wasn't robust enough for me as it had way too much play in the z axis. Thanks bud!

I'm coming from the world of autocad (dxf/dwg) which I use for designing parts for 3d printing, and I am looking to get into CNC. I don't have any other CAD program experience. Is carbide create the best choice of software for someone like me (if i wanted to create CNC designs in autocad)?
