I don't understand the extreme measures taken to hide the boys from cameras.I expected as each child came out that we would get to see this.Anyone have any answers?

Misleading. The child would not be using the regulator (mouthpiece) hose as the tether to the diver as it would be pulled from his mouth. It would be using a tether, not the hose.

Good news and I hope that all the last rescue divers get out safely too. One fatality already is 1 too many. But this is Thailand where recently sailors ignored weather warnings resulting in the sinking of 2 tourist boats around Phuket and the death of 40+ Chinese tourists. Money is the first priority here and Health and Safety good practice is almost non-existent in Thailand where the road casualty stats are the 2nd worst in the world, and foreigners are expendable sources of income. Tourists be warned.
