Are we sure that's a regular system failure? Shouldn't a system like that has some sort of fault tolerance? I had a feeling it was hacked 🤔

At times, I wonder if we really grasp how fragile things are?

Instead of money for war
How about money for infrastructure

Wow... Is there no redundancy? Our reliance on technology has made our society so frail, it's scary.

Most are still on floppy disks. This was the problem with southwest

Stop depending on airlines/FAA for inter city travel! We need alternatives like high speed rail! This is insanity!

Something seems off, Even the UK satellite mission failed due to an "ANOMALY"....

Didn't this same thing just happen January 2nd in Florida?? Why didn't you report on it then? All this weird stuff with the airlines lately.

Computers are electronic. They can have issues. There should always be someone who is trained on how to land a plane the old way before computers did everything. 🤷‍♀️

The BIG question must be, who will pay for this disaster, the perpetrators? Or the victims? The federal agency responsible for the losses should cover the losses. The FAA should pony up.

It should find the $1Tn or so that they cost travelers, and reimburse them for their losses, including the cost of those flights, and any other commitments travelers made, that could not be met because of cancellations, including connecting flights, ground transportation, hotels and meals lost due to cancellation. Furthermore, it should pay airline customers who were cancelled for REPLACEMENTS for their holiday plans, including NEW airline reservations (and flights), car rentals, hotel reservations, etc. It should ALSO pay the employers of those customers for giving those employees and additions 2-3 weeks of paid vacation (or whatever they were doing), to replace the ones that were lost. FURTHERMORE, the FAA should pay to have all those connections fixed, by the airlines or FAA (or outside contractors) for them. Airline customers should not have to spend days on the phone struggling to cancel or replace bookings that were lost due to FAA malfeasance!

Now that is a LOT of work, and it will cost a LOT of money (~$1Tn), which the US government should supply. If they don’t, they will be guilty of one of the biggest RIP-OFFS in American history.

America’s the greatest, isn’t it???

Or is it???

For my safety, those who want to play them sorry. I just ain't mad. Thank you, for shutting down everything. My safety, is safety for all..

Exact same thing happened in the Philippines just a week ago. Sudden failure, no planes could fly. Makes me wonder if they were related.

Why is this system dependent on computers? Shouldn’t it be an analog system run by people like human flight controllers?

Computer failure??? There should have been redundancy in the system. Please.

The good news about the airline industry is that things can go wrong but the same issue will never happen twice
