Love how his voice transitioned from child voice- adult voice 1973-74

From 1971 to 1974 you can continuously hear his voice changing. At 16 his adult singing voice was complete.

1973 His adult voice is starting to creep in but he still has enough of his youthful voice to imitate his younger self. You can hear on the full medley several points where he tried to push those higher notes out and his voice wouldn't cooperate. He was so good that even his "failures" sounded great. That's the most interesting point of his vocal evolution to me.

As an artist, I find it interesting that as he's performing it solo he's speeding thru the song, even ahead of the band at times... but when hes reunited with his fam it's laid back again, and hes in the groove... personally I find is when I'm playing a song maybe that I'm bored but you play it anyway fan fav or whatever.... but clearly a difference in his connection to the song when singing with his fam for sho.

You have unintentionally documented the evolution of not only this song but his entire appearance.

He went from looking just like his brothers in the 70s ..to someone so entirely different in the 90s and 00s.

He doesn’t even look related to them anymore.
He doesn’t look related to anyone. I was a huge fan in the 80s and saw him on the Bad tour. How I wish he could have stopped after just that first nose job in the Thriller ere. He was supremely good looking at that point. A visual icon of our time. He didn’t need to do anything more to his appearance. He looked perfect. Someone should have told him.

And on a musical level I have often wondered if all that cosmetic surgery messed up his vocal range too.
