Just shows that you can’t just whack on modern/upgraded parts/drivers on units and expect mind blowing results.
Despite of it sounding all well and good in theory.
I like the original driver better since it’s clearly made for it and the un-sang engineering principles that are at work all of the sudden goes away when you replace crucial parts/components that aren’t intended for the task(s) at hand.

Original alot clearer but upgraded one has more high, mid and low balance.
Original is better overall, but the upgraded one will also work the best during cheap replacement time🙃

I drilled mine out and put in a 2.5" 9w 8 Ω driver in to replace the 3w 4 Ω 1" one that was in it.. sounds a fuk ton better because i think the chip they used for the amp circuit is actually rated for 8 Ω but they used that little scraggly wire to hook up the speaker, i replaced it with some proper oxygen free braided and shielded speaker wire... little work but free is free.. speaker came out of a cisco conferencing unit.. so is a full range plus actually has way more range than the original did..

Awesome video..The new speaker sounds almost as if it was wired in reverse polarity, I would double check the speaker wires to make sure they are not reversed and that they match the + and - polarity on the original speaker.
