TSA doesn’t want to prevent you from traveling with your firearms, they just ask that you follow a few simple safety steps.

This is BAD advice and incomplete information. If you go on Delta, they will check this very box in this video and open the latch on the end without a lock. When it opens a little, they will stick their fingers/hand through and pull the gun out proving this is not a Delta-approved case. Save yourself a lot of time and DO NOT follow this advice. Get yourself a case with a lock hole on both ends. Make sure the loop of the lock is short so when you lock it and try to open it, no one can stick their finger through. If it opens AT ALL Delta will not approve it! Be ware!!!

Anybody else see the red barrel end cap on the revolver on the table of “evidence? Indicating that it is a toy?

Your case should also have an airtag in it. So many times stuff gets "lost" in airlines.

Dude that setup is NOT TSA compliant at all. I fly with guns all the time. The one lock will allow you to touch the gun and they won't let that fly.

The orange tags are to make it easier to identify in order to steal the firearm

Only put one lock on the case and didn’t check the chamber 😂 my goodness

Letting everyone in baggage know there's a gun for them to steal.

In some airports, you are told to put it in your luggage, but you must tell them when you are checking your bag

Umm am I the only one who saw the orange cap on that revolvers barrel? Doesn’t that mean it’s one of those Dollar store toys that plays a bad quality bang every time the trigger is pulled

Never, never, never let TSA put that tag on the outside. The ink is made with leaded ink so it shows up in x-rays. You put that on the outside of a case, it's gone. Especially if traveling through Detroit, Chicago, New York, Indianapolis, LA, San Francisco, etc. It will not get to its destination.

No. The regulation requires the tag to be inside of the locked case.

the revolver with an orange tip was a nice touch to try and make it seem like it mattered

You mean TSA the agency that has no communication with airlines meaning. When you place a firearm to be checked and give over the key to the airline they don’t give it to TSA. Resulting in your locks getting broken open and searched. But now you can’t fly with your firearm since it’s not in a locked box (the locks they destroyed) so now they offer to send your gun another way via mail.
Carry spare locks on your carry on luggage just incase if you’re flying with a firearm.
Austin Texas is notoriously terrible for this exact type of situation.

But what about all the cases of power hungry tsa agents cut gun case locks off because the lock is not tsa approved which means tsa had a key to open case

Make sure you lock both sides of the case to ensure the firearm stays in. Also make sure you use NON tsa locks. It is actually preferred as no one should have access to the firearm except the owner. I had a friend fly using tsa locks and when he got his gun back, it had scratches all over it.

Folks remember to AirTag your fire arms & check state regulations. Some airports can hold your firearm till it’s time for you to go back home. And yes nothing in the chamber, separate magazine & keep firearm open for them to inspect.
The easier you make their job the better off you’ll be.

Except for the state of New York. Don't take a gun to New York

Why is a toy gun shown when talking about 2 guns found?

if you're going to check it in, will it go in the baggage-claim of your destination? what if someone just grab it then before you get there?
