The Path of Nature: Under the Roman Sun

Roberta J. M. Olson, Curator of Drawings at the New-York Historical Society discusses in her February 10, 2013 Sunday at the Met talk "Under the Roman Sun: Landscape, Brigands, and the Late Grand Tour." She explores the relationship between the Grand Tour, a rite of passage for predominately wealthy young men, and the development of plein-air landscape painting.
