I totally agree with this. Biases are ingrained to our being. These biases enable our brains to learn and form our own set of values. These values allow us to interact with others positively and sometimes negatively. I remember the allegory of the cave by plato wherein he tells that our own set of beliefs about what and how the world is are formed through the environment/society we live in. These beliefs allow us to act or react to certain situations almost instantaneously. For instance when we were babies we have no concept of what to fear until we see our parents, siblings react to a cockroach thus forming in our brains that cockroaches are scary

I love it! "If you have a brain, you are biased" totally true!

It's so easy to give in to our biases, especially if you're not even aware that you have them in the first place. These biases will inevitably affect our decisions and would ultimately impact our work place. This video made me realize that there are indeed some instances when I tend to be unknowingly biased, and so indentifying and accepting these would enable me to have better judgment for future decisions.

We all have unconscious biases. What's important is we learn how to slow down before we get to the point of stereotyping.
