Prince Harry seems to have revealed a new side of Meghan Markle! The 38-year-old royal gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany, and he gave his wife a funny shoutout while talking about the new countries, Colombia, Israel and Nigeria, that have joined the games. "Now, I'm not saying we play favorites in our home, but since my wife discovered she's of Nigerian descent, it's likely to get a little bit more competitive this year," he teased. Meghan wasn't at the opening ceremony to playfully quip back at her husband, but it was previously reported that the 42-year-old "Suits" alum will be delivering a closing speech during the farewell ceremony, according to German newspaper Rheinische post, per The Daily Mail. The Invictus Games holds a special place in Harry and Meghan's hearts, as seen in their new Netflix docuseries "Heart of Invictus," which highlights five athletes as they competed in the 2022 games.

Did you notice the crowd barely made a sound?

Meghan Markle appeared on Rachel Ray before she met Harry and announced that her ancestors were from Malta - and that Hello! magazine were paying for her to go visit there, with a photo shoot. At no time has Meghan ever announced she was 43% Nigerian and was going to visit Nigeria - the only time she announced this was when she had a Nigerian guest on her podcast. A genealogist did her ancestry and her great-great-great grandfather on her mother's side is named Jeremiah. His mother was white. The Raglands have been in the US since the 1800s. So unless a bunch of Nigerians came over and bred with her family members, there is hardly a chance that she is 43% Nigerian.
