A story is told with these vocals, as if all of Redmane’s soldiers watch us combat their General. As they bear witness to our strength, matching Radahn, they chant in lament and in anticipation for the strongest Demi-God to rest.

This is the exact part I thought it was.

My favorite part of it is that is sounds like what you’d play during a war hero’s funeral procession… which is what the Festival basically is.

Radahn has become my favorite character in all of Soulsborne honestly.

The saddest part about all of this is that this could’ve been avoided if it weren’t for Radahn’s one blemish on an otherwise pure hearted character; his aversion to change. He adorns himself in the imagery of the Golden Order’s glory days, he became the greatest gravity sorcerer to ever live so he would never part from his beloved horse, and he arrested fate itself to uphold the status quo. I truly think that the Shattering would’ve ended much differently had he just been able to let go. If he had released the stars when fighting Malenia, I don’t think she would’ve stood a chance, even in her Goddess of Rot form

Perhaps my favourite theme in the entire souls series, it overtook Gael. I looked past this originally, but this theme is godly.

Honestly, all parts are good. This part doesn't hit the same without the buildup.

This version sounds like a funeral and giving honor and paying respect to one of the greatest warriors, the new one sounds like you're about to get crushed by a thousand meteors by the greatest champion and god the world has ever seen

When this part of the song starts playing you realize you're not at a festival, you're at a funeral.

One last fight for a legendary warrior.

After the DLC i just admire Radahn even more. This is so sad. This fight is his royal funeral and we are all there in the festival to give the great star conquering general his final rest with dignity. And what a fight it was the first time. In the DLC we get to see him in his almost pure youth with shining armor and the music is more angelic and uplifting while having the same generals war song theme as in this piece. I fucking love Radahn as a character,

When I put Radahn to rest, I had my character bow to him as he disappeared, had to thank him for the awesome fight he gave me

Now that I played the dlc, I love how much the first phase of the final boss sounds exactly like this, just more grandious, more epic, and not tragic but climactic instead
