JQuery Autocomplete show label and submit value (ID) in Spring Boot

JQuery Autocompletes are awesome, but what if you want the user to see a text-based label, and you want to submit a numeric value (ID, GUID, Primary Key, or Foreign Key) in the background? In this video, we show how to create a hidden field in HTML, and have it contain a unique identifier that corresponds to a value that a user typed or selected in a JQuery autocomplete widget.

What about if I have a source that specifies a value? It seems to be defaulting to show the value instead of the label again. Thanks for the content
