Mace overwhelmed Palpatine. Palpatine is more agile, faster and even stronger than maul. He beat him in a blade lock when maul went all out for savage

W edit but diff is lower, mauls pure rage and use of the dark side allows mace to easily use Vapaad like he did with sidious so I'd say low diff or low to mid.
