Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Review (Muscle Kings Pt. 2) – Everyday Driver

The Z28 has always been the baddest of the Camaro line-up. But it’s never been as expensive or hard-core as this version. This Z28 sits atop the Camaro models with a naturally aspirated 7.0L engine, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a 70k price-tag. How does this king of Camaros compare and contrast with the king of the Dodge Challengers, the Hellcat. The guys drive on long fast straights and tight back roads, then debate.

I like the Camaro Z/28 because of the 7.0 liter LS7 engine. I want one so bad....the exhaust sounds so old school, love it!

Hmmm, I'd take the Z28 because I like technical driving. The hellcat is cool, but not for me.

Given the choice, I'd rather have the Z/28. The hardware and that fantastic LS7 is worth it to me.

CLEAR winner here. The Z/28 is not just about track only... its the fact that its far more engaging, aggressive, and raw that it WINS. anyone whos going to spend close to 70k on a sports car will normally have a daily driver and they want a sports car that will thrill them on the road and the Z/28 is simply better at that job.

at the end of the day the Z/28 will be every bit as fast as the hellcat in the real world and manage to be far better at taking a nice winding road or twisty canyon.

not all roads are made 1/4 miles flats at a time ;)

I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't really care for interior as much as a lot of other people or reviewers. If it's sturdy, it's good enough for me. I don't care about soft touch and all that but maybe it's because I've grew up around older model cars that I find comfortable

Anyone else play the drinking game with their podcast? Everytime one of them says "interesting" or "speak to" or "pricepoint" you take a shot! If you can make it through an entire episode without needing a new liver then you've done well!

Judging from the comments Americans don't like taking corners so they would prefer the Challenger..the rest of the world would have the z28

Wonderful production guys. I have been subscribed to this channel since the first video and I know its been a rough ride for you both. I love this channel and no matter what, you guys keep producing wonderful films as the budget allows. As for this video, I will have to say Z/28 all day, Everyday (driver).

I'm shopping right now and I am so torn between the GT350 and Z/28. Really hard to find the Z/28 right now the prices are kinda nuts right now too. I think GT350 is by far the better deal but damn.. I love the Z/28

Love the Z/28 for it's racing heritage and track focus design. Bare bones badass road course car.

Why are we comparing a purpose built track car to a muscle car only designed to go fast in a line?
The hellcat was unable to beat the camaro SS 1le or mustang GT at the track.
even the STi beat the fatcat

The biggest problem with the Z/28 is the price. At $74, 000 you're just $5, 000 off from a C7 Z06. With that you get much more power, substantially less weight, a much faster car, and no offense but its a Corvette not a Camaro, which would you rather been seen driving? I'm not gonna get into the new vs used debate but if you wanted to a C6 Z06 with basically the same setup as the Z/28 can be had for less than half the price.

I just wanted you guys to know, I get why you compared these two, instead of the ZL1. I read the description, I listened to you both explain it more than once. I apologize on behalf of my peers here in the comment section who like to criticize semi-blindly. Thank you for continually pumping out some of the best comparison videos admits our persistent resistance and endearing foolishness.

This is by far a phenomenal car. I had, Mustangs all my life since HS. I now owned a 2014 Camaro Z/28 Red Hot no a/c only one speaker. I LOVE IT. Is just plain bad. Chevrolet did a great job.
