Building with Bazel - Brae Webb

Brae Webb, UQCS alum, former Canvanaut, and current PhD candidate at UQ, joins us to help you unlock the power of Bazel, an open source build system developed by Google (based on their own internal tools!) for automating the build process of applications written in more than half a dozen popular programming languages (Java, C/C++, Python, and more). Used by companies like Square, Asana, and Canva, Bazel has been developed from the ground up with an emphasis on speed, correctness and reproducibility. Brae will also walk us through how it’s possible to extend Bazel to support nearly any use case, which more than likely includes your own, so don’t miss out!
