I work in cybersecurity, and it’s been kinda refreshing to see this guy’s short clips. Because he tells cool “war stories” that are 100% plausible. Lol physical pen test (social engineering) gigs were my all time favorite.

She was just shocked, she thought you literally could not physically enter without wristbands, and when you did, she realized her entire life was a lie.

Confidence is the strongest form of psychological warfare in a civil setting. You can walk into absolutely anywhere as long as you make it appear that you belong there or have work to do there

I literally did this at the origins 2024 tradeshow. A lady said we couldn’t use the special bathrooms at the back because they were reserved for “celebrities”, and I was a vendor, and I said “no, vendors can use them too” and she just got stuck, and then under her breath muttered “oh yeah… I think I did hear that, vendors too”.

100% just walking into a place like you own it works shockingly well. People instantly notice someone trying to be sneaky, and people often don't feel confident to call someone on security things because they think things like 'what if I'm wrong', 'what if they're someone important', etc.
Also: those little plastic name badges work wonders. Even with like a piece of paper that says something like "VENDOR", "VIP", etc.
DeviantOllam puts UPCs from Coke bottles on his to give them a barcode.

In my old company we were told to just let people with company ID in the building. One time some stranger asked to come in and my colleague refused because the guy had no ID and he had to call someone to clarify first. Turns out the stranger was a manager from our parent company and my colleague was called out for denying him access. This one thing basically broke our whole security process because from that moment on nobody would take the risk of stopping someone who just seemed confident enough for us to think he might maybe be entitled to enter.

I knew Thor was a jedi.... it wasn't confidence....😂

Unwarranted confidence and feigned obliviousness have gotten me into places I had no business being a few times in my life. It’s eye opening to realize that not only do these exploits exist, but that sometimes you can honestly stumble across them and end up somewhere really neat without even actively trying. In my case, I ended up backstage at a concert once and also accidentally attended a swanky high-end fashion show.
